We believe jiu jitsu should be fun, laid-back, and all about growth. Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned grappler, you'll find a welcoming community where everyone is eager to help each other improve.

We have an awesome striking program with classes for Muay Thai and MMA, as well as sport specific strength and conditioning classes.

Our kids' program is a hit with parents and children alike! We focus on building confidence, coordination, and discipline in a safe, playful environment where learning feels like fun.

Our Program

Classes 6 days a week!

  • We offer jiu jitsu classes 6 days a week, both gi and no-gi. After stretching, each class starts with takedown drills, positional technique, and finally live rounds starting on the feet.

  • Our kids' jiu jitsu program is the perfect blend of fun, discipline, and skill-building in a safe and supportive environment.

    With structured lessons, games, and drills, kids learn essential techniques in a way that feels like play.

    Designed for children of all ages and experience levels, our classes focus on self-defense, coordination, teamwork, and confidence—all while keeping things engaging and exciting!

  • As an official USA Muay Thai club, we offer Muay Thai and MMA classes, both designed for all levels of experience. You'll learn proper technique, footwork, and powerful striking using punches, kicks, elbows, and knees—all in a fun, high-energy, and supportive environment.

  • Looking to get stronger? Our strength and conditioning program is sport specific and and designed to boost endurance, power, and flexibility.

ABOUT
NIC KOCH

Nic Koch is the Head Instructor at Adaptation Jiujitsu, bringing over 15 years of experience in martial arts. A black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu through the IBJJF, Professor Koch received his black belt from Jersey Shore wrestling legend Bill Scott. He has been training since 2007 and is known for blending BJJ, Judo, Sambo, and Wrestling, with a focus on creating well-rounded athletes who can seamlessly transition between techniques from various disciplines.

In addition to his expertise in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Koch holds a Black Pra Jiad arm band in Muay Thai, demonstrating his versatility in multiple martial arts. He has earned victories in prestigious black belt divisions at NAGA and New Breed. With a strong wrestling foundation from his time at Point Pleasant Boro, his grappling skills are complemented by his wrestling background.

Professor Koch frequently trains with Sambo and Judo expert Vlad Koulikov, further refining his skills and keeping his techniques at the cutting edge. As a children's instructor, Professor Koch's bright and welcoming personality makes him an outstanding mentor, providing a positive and supportive environment for young martial artists to develop discipline, confidence, and respect.
